Abstract

It is proposed to make a forecast of the future profitability of the Mutual Funds of a general type managed by the main fiduciary companies of Colombia, considering the historical information of the period 2016-2021 obtained in the Financial Superintendence because of the coming boom. having the investments in this type of funds by natural persons in the country and as a contribution to the knowledge of these instruments, their operation and profitability expectations that they generate in the long term. Forecasting techniques are used, starting from a review of the main existing ones and their selection in terms of reliability and applicability for the problem that concerns the profitability of the Mutual Funds according to the available data patterns.
