Resumen
110 p. Recurso Electr?nico El polen corbicular constituye peque?as cargas colectadas y transportadas a las
Palabras clave: Polen corbicular, Boyac?, Apis mellifera, dieta, abundancia relativa Bee pollen constitutes small loads collected and transported to the hives by bees for the
development of the larva, being also benefited for human consumption due to its
nutritional value, directly related to its botanical origin. The Andean region of Boyac?
prevails in forests with an important degree of conservation, constituting a resource of
value for the beekeeping. 32 samples of bee pollen, produced in dry and rainy period in
apiaries located in the municipalities of Santa Rosa de Viterbo, Paipa, Sotaquir? and
Firavitoba, where blooming plants were also collected. Relative abundance for pollen
types registered and the degree of similarity in the use of the resources by Apis
mellifera between the sampling points evaluated were determined by the Jaccard index.
81 species in flowering were determined taxonomically, being predominantly the family
Asteraceae. On the other hand, 44 pollen types associated with the A. mellifera diet
were identified, being Asteraceae family the group with the highest number of registered
types. Taraxacum officinale, Baccharis sp, Eucalyptus sp and Trifolium sp presented
the highest number of records in both seasons. Through the Jaccard dendrogram, there
was no evidence of a separation between the points assessed in the dry and rainy
season. Nevertheless, there were species visited exclusively during a specific climate
regime. A floral calendar is proposed for the area studied and this work contributes to
the construction of a reference pollen library.
