Resumen
This paper explores a future reading of the case study: Musical Instruments Bank (M.I.B.) of the Siemens Foundation, within the Colombian society. The M.I.B. is characterized by providing direct support to young music students who need help to continue their education. In order to evaluate the level of relevance and future success for this type of associations, a theoretical framework based on Durkheim's concept of solidarity and a methodological framework that appeals to the consultation of national experts is used to structure prospective models for initiatives such as the M.I.B. The result obtained in the research promotes a fundamental place for these institutions in societies with a high division of labor, such as the current ones. It is concluded, therefore, that the work of the M.I.B. must be part of the corporate social fabric of a society such as the Colombian one, since it is part of an essential unit that is supported by the solidarity processes that run through public, private and social institutions.
