La ética como campo del conocimiento requiere el desarrollo de investigaciones que posibiliten el estudio de las acciones de los sujetos en su dimensión moral. Desde esa premisa se realizó el presente estudio que tiene como propósito caracterizar la investigación que se realiza sobre ética en República Dominicana. Es un trabajo de carácter documental, consistió en la revisión de documentos publicados en los últimos 5 años: artículos en revistas indexadas y trabajos de grado. Los resultados demuestran hay pocas investigaciones relacionadas con la temática propuesta, sin embargo, se encontró un marcado interés por la ética en la educación a través de propuestas formativas, influencia de la ética de los docentes en sus alumnos o incluso relacionado con el equipo de gestión. Las conclusiones abogan por la necesidad de realizar trabajos de investigación sobre la ética en general y la ética profesional en particular   Abstract Ethics as a field of knowledge requires the development of researches that make possible the study of individuals actions in a moral dimension. Based on that premise this study was made with the purpose of analyzing the ethics investigation in the Dominican Republic. This is a documentary research based on the revision of published documents in the last five years. The results show that there are few investigations related to the subject matter that has been proposed. Nevertheless, a distinct interest in the field of education was found throughout formative proposals that strengthen the influence of ethics in those in the teaching labour with their students or even with the management team. The conclusions defend the necessity of executing different researches in general ethics and professional ethics in particular.
