Sus estudios en los Estados Unidos sobre Temas Internacionales y la bibliografía inmensa que acumuló, en el espesor de los tiempos, le dieron esa aproximación a la política a partir de los factores económicos y de las Relaciones Internacionales. Hereda a su padre y complementa su óptica con la parte jurídica que la Universidad le aporta y que la lectura de los tratados y de los autores le consolida.The known and loved languages ​​- Spanish, French and English -, the literatures studied, the childhood and youth trips, the residence in Europe in the formative age, the Chilean university and the exile in Mexico, give López a vision of the world that not all of them can be grasped.
