This paper recovers the importance of Sigfried Kracauer. Besides revisiting some of his translated texts in Brazil, it also presents some connections between his thoughts and Walter Benjamin's.Este artigo procura resgatar a importância dos trabalhos realizados pelo frankfurtiano Siegfried Kracauer. Além de revisitar alguns textos traduzidos no Brasil, este trabalho apresenta também algumas aproximações entre o pensamento de Walter Benjamin e Kracauer.
