Convivencia establecida entre la maternidad - paternidad y los estudios universitarios de pregrado en la ciudad de Barranquilla

Abstract

La maternidad y paternidad son términos que han sido instaurados en la sociedad desde tiempos antiguos como una necesidad, consideradas como un logro en la vida de los integrantes de la sociedad, sobre todo de las mujeres, sin embargo, en los últimos años muchos integrantes de la sociedad han dejado de reconocer la maternidad y la paternidad indispensablemente como el mayor logro en la vida de una persona, siendo ellos mismos los encargados de establecer sus logros y relevancia, planteándose en la actualidad como uno de sus más importantes objetivos el realizarse profesionalmente, por lo cual buscan prepararse académicamente para luego integrarse y crecer en el ámbito laboral. Relacionado con lo anterior, hay ocasiones donde estos dos aspectos coexisten en la vida de una persona y la experiencia puede ser compleja, presentándose dificultades que influyen en el cumplimiento de las responsabilidades tanto en el ámbito académico como personal y familiar, por lo que es de interés estudiar y analizar los factores que intervienen en esta convivencia y las estrategias que implementan los padres y madres estudiantes frente a esta. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la convivencia que establecen los estudiantes entre el rol de madre/padre y los estudios universitarios. Por consiguiente, la pregunta de investigación planteada es: ¿Cómo es la convivencia establecida entre la maternidad-paternidad y los estudios universitarios de pregrado en la ciudad de Barranquilla? Situación que se ha presentado en la actualidad con mayor proporción y requiere mayor investigación.

Motherhood and fatherhood are terms that have been established in society since ancient times as a necessity, considered as an achievement in the lives of members of society, especially women, however, in recent years many members of society have ceased to recognize motherhood and fatherhood as the greatest achievement in the life of a person, They themselves are in charge of establishing their achievements and relevance, and nowadays one of their most important objectives is to fulfill themselves professionally, which is why they seek to prepare themselves academically in order to later integrate and grow in the work environment. Related to the above, there are times when these two aspects coexist in the life of a person and the experience can be complex, presenting difficulties that influence the fulfillment of responsibilities both in the academic and personal and family environment, so it is of interest to study and analyze the factors involved in this coexistence and the strategies implemented by student parents. The objective of this research is to analyze the coexistence established by students between the role of mother/father and university studies. Therefore, the research question posed is: How is the coexistence established between motherhood-fatherhood and undergraduate university studies in the city of Barranquilla? This is a situation that has been presented at present with a higher proportion and requires further research.
