Resumen
This research is a study on the importance of Idle as a configurator of the cultural practices and experiences of Western Philosophy and Art. Through certain readings on philosophers and artists that refer to the hypothetical presuppositions of this Thesis, the research took the course of understanding, on the one hand, that Criticism is the productive and conflictive phase of philosophical practice in modernity, and on the other hand, that Drama has the same utilitarian effect in the sphere of Art. Therefore, leisure takes the form of a political irruption of these spheres and, at the same time, acquires a cultural relevance as a precursor concept of the new and current imaginary configurations of the political. Leisure would be the performative state shared by Art and Philosophy, where said state is preserved through the restitution and temporal diagramming of the occupations of non-philosophers and non-artists.
