Cada mes de junio, por motivo del solsticio en el hemisferio norte, se celebra en el mundo la Fiesta de la Música. Este festival se inició en 1982 en Francia como una inicitiva del Ministerio de Cultura de dicho país e impulsada por las 1000 Alianzas Francesas que constituyen una red a nivel mundial con el propósito de dedicar un día a la difusión de la música, la expresión artística y su democratización. Es un evento de carácter público que garantiza el acceso gratuito y que además promueve todo tipo de género musical y la participación de gente de todas las edades sin importar su condición social.Every June, on the occasion of the solstice in the northern hemisphere, the Music Festival is celebrated around the world. This festival began in 1982 in France as an initiative of the Ministry of Culture of that country and promoted by the 1000 Alliances Françaises which constitute a worldwide network with the purpose of dedicating one day to the diffusion of music, artistic expression and its democratization. It is a public event that guarantees free access and also promotes all types of music and the participation of people of all ages regardless of their social status.
