Resumen
The objective of this project was the design and simulation of a ventilation and odor extraction system at INKLERSA factory, with a capacity of 2700 cfm through the use of fans, for the renewal of the air generated in the grinding of spices. The system design began with the previous study to determine the contamination in the work area, generated in the grinding of spices. Especially, the grinding of cumin, later we proceeded to select the best alternative being the design by suspended hood. From the detailed design began, which is the sizing of the hoods; the input and output ducts using constant pressure loss method, to obtain the total loss of the system, standards such a UNE, SMACNA and manual such as ACGIH were also used; fans were selected based on the calculations. To analyze the design, a simulation was made using the SolidWorks CFD software, resulting in values similar to those established in the standards. Finally, a verification and validation of the system was carried out, having a 4.3% relative percentage error, it verifies that the design is correct, thus leaving the possibility of construction to the company. The use of localized hoods is recommended to prevent odors from dispersing in the work area.
