Resumen
This project emerged to improve the unappealing appearance of physical space in the sanctuary
in the Chimborazo province, Chambo Canton, Catequilla neighborhood becoming it into an
attractive area through a technical project based on the design and implementation of a dynamic
fountain with synchronized jets using an automated control system. The design process began
with the analysis of the hydraulic system using EPANET software and the arrangement of the
piping network, which consists of 8 external nozzles and one central nozzle. The most suitable
model in terms of pressure and flow rate was selected. The programming for the design and
construction of the control panel was developed according to the specified requirements, using
the Siemens 230RC LOGO and distributing the components that control the synchronization of
the system. Protective elements were considered for the equipment involved in the pumping
system, including the Pedrollo HFm5ARM 3 Hp and PLURIJET3/100 0.75 Hp pumps. These
pumps are controlled by contactors that distribute the current flow to the pumps and the RGB
LED lighting system. Three sequences were established, each lasting 7 minutes, with a oneminute
delay between lines to ensure that the synchronized water show coordinates correctly with
the hydraulic network, pumping system, and lighting, creating an appealing and aesthetically
coordinated result. With these design considerations, the functionality of the water fountain was
successfully implemented and validated using two distribution lines, each supplied by a pump
according to the initial design requirements. In conclusion, the physical space was transformed
into an attractive area that provides visitors with a pleasant visual and auditory experience.
