Elaboración de un manual de procedimientos de trabajo seguro en el Departamento de Obras Públicas del GAD Municipal del cantón San Pedro de Pelileo

Abstract

The objective of this research was to elaborate safe work procedures (SWP) for automotive workshop in Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo-Matriz. The methodology followed in this work was descriptive, deductive, analytical and quantitative, which contributed to the establishment of all the guidelines for risk assessment and the development of safe work procedures. It began with the evaluation of the current situation of the automotive workshop by means of a survey and in conjunction with the INSHT and NTP 330 methodologies, by using this, the risks to which the operators are exposed in each work positions and their activities were identified and assessed, based on that the parameters for the elaboration of the PTS were established. As a result, safe work procedures were obtained for 5 risks with intervention level I and II, which were falling of people from different levels, trapping by or between objects, entanglement by overturning machines or loads, falling objects during handling, and exposure to chemicals. It is concluded that this type of safe work procedures will help the institution and especially the automotive workshop to minimize any type of risk that may affect both the physical and psychological integrity of the worker. It is recommended to the Occupational Safety and Health Unit of Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (USST-ESPOCH) to implement these safe work procedures (SWP) in the soonest possible time.
