Resumen
The objective of this research work is to determine the gastrointestinal parasitic incidence, theatment and economic losses in cattle in the Association of producers San Pedro de Licto. Cows were used in production with a weight of 450- 500 kg on average with the Jersey, Bronwiss and Holstein breeds that are between the first and second third of lactation. It was carried out in two phases before and after applying the treatments ( Ivermectin, Albendazole, Fenbendazole) in the phase 1 with random sampling system selecting 80 animals, using the McMaster Technique. Then the animals were grouped according to the parasitic load in 3 groups: with high load (>1001) HPG; middle (501- 1000) HPG and low (< 500) HPG, where the number and percentage of parasitized cow, types of parasites found, parasitic load, expressed as HPG (eggs per grams of feces) for each animal and milk production in cows before treatment were determined. Phase 2: 12 cows were selected for their high parasitic load determined by the McMaster Technique, these were used as experimental units where milk production in cows was determined before and after antiparasitic treatments, product efficacy and economic losses. The results were submitted by a completely randomized design (CRD) and separation of means through the Tukey test (P<0.05). The best result was obtained by using the albendazole deworming with a milk production of 397.25 liters/day, and an economic gain of 15,75 USD/day at the farm. It is concluded that anthelmintic treatments with an active ingredient of ivermectin favor the control of parasites, it is recommended that the medicines should be rotated to avoid parasitic resistance, in addition to performing periodic laboratory tests.
