Los Hijos Oyentes de Padres Sordos deben enfrentar diversas situaciones y limitaciones del contexto en el que se desenvuelven, por lo que es importante conocer como han podido afrontarlas a lo largo de su vida. El presente análisis de caso tuvo como objetivo caracterizar las estrategias de afrontamiento utilizadas por los Hijos Oyentes de Padres Sordos que pertenecen a la comunidad sorda, las cuales se han manifestado en situaciones estresantes y experiencias vividas. Con relación a la metodología, se realizó una investigación cualitativa con método estudio de caso de diseño fenomenológico. La muestra estuvo conformada por cuatro participantes. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó una ficha sociodemográfica, entrevista a profundidad y el Inventario de Estrategias de Afrontamiento (CSI) versión Española. De acuerdo al análisis integrador se obtuvo que las estrategias de afrontamiento que predominaron en los Hijos Oyentes de Padres Sordos fueron la resolución de problemas, pensamiento desiderativo y retirada social, mientras que la estrategia menos desarrollada fue la de expresión emocional Children of Deaf Adults must face various situations and limitations of the context in which they operate, therefore it is important to know how they have managed to face them throughout their lives.
