La ideología conservadora que tiene el Ecuador ha marcado la forma de pensar del pueblo ecuatoriano estableciendo un conjunto de valores éticos y morales, los cuales tenían un concepto del bien y del mal. La vida de una persona no es el bien jurídico más valioso ya que también puede serlo para tener una muerte digna. Sin embargo, tener una vida digna va mucho más allá de tener una vivienda, un ambiente sano, luz, agua, entre otras cosas, pues los seres vivos no siempre gozamos de buena salud y esto hace que nuestra calidad de vida se deteriore. Así que la vida digna no solo incluye las condiciones sociales, sino que puede llegar incluso a tener una muerte digna. Por el hecho de que no existe prohibición a la eutanasia y si existe el reconocimiento a una vida digna junto con la prohibición de tratos crueles e inhumanos, por el principio de derecho que establece que lo que no está prohibido está permitido es la asamblea que debe proceder a la presentación de una ley orgánica que regule la eutanasia.The conservative ideology that Ecuador has marked the way of Ecuadorian people think establishing a set of ethical and moral values, which had a concept of good and bad.
