laboral. Shoulder pathologies are treated differently depending on their complexity,
depending on several factors: duration of symptoms, predominance of the
shoulder, type of tear, patient characteristics. OBJECTIVE: To determine the
prevalence of the most frequent musculoskeletal disorders in the shoulder
joint, associated with sociodemographic characteristics and risk factors in
patients attending the Jorge Andrade rehabilitation center from 2020 to
October 2022. METHODOLOGY: The research was presented as a project of
descriptive scope, it aims to describe the relationship between musculoskeletal
injuries and risk factors in shoulder injuries in patients attending the Jorge
Andrade rehabilitation center, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design.
Likewise, it is a scientific study with a quantitative, documentary approach and
deductive reasoning. RESULTS: It is shown that the most frequent
musculoskeletal injuries found in shoulder injuries are adhesive capsulitis,
which represents a percentage of 32% in 33 patients. Likewise, the causes
determine that the most frequent cause of shoulder injury are repetitive
movements with 25% in both sexes. CONCLUSION: Based on the study
carried out, it was possible to determine that in the ages between 57 and 66
years they tend to suffer shoulder injuries, being this the older, the higher the
prevalence of work disability.
