Resumen
El abandono del tratamiento de la tuberculosis, es uno de los problemas a
nivel mundial, ya que muchas veces esto genera altas incidencias de la
enfermedad y de la resistencia a los tratamientos empleados. Objetivo:
Determinar el abandono del tratamiento de tuberculosis en pacientes de 20 a
60 años que acuden al Centro de Salud Guasmo sur, año 2021. Metodología:
estudio de tipo descriptivo, cuantitativa, retrospectivo y de corte transversal.
Población: 150 pacientes. Muestra: 60 pacientes Técnica: Observación
indirecta. Instrumento: Ficha de observación. Resultados: De acuerdo a las
características demográficas el 63% son hombres y 37% mujeres, en edades
del 52% entre 20 a 30 años, estado civil 45% unión libre, con ocupación del
50% trabajo independiente, los cuales el 82% provienen de zonas urbanas.
En lo que respecta a la fase de abandono, los pacientes pierden la adherencia
o el apego durante la primera fase 62%. Las complicaciones presentadas en
el paciente como causa de abandono al tratamiento se observó alteraciones
hepáticas en el 33%, seguido del 27% sin complicaciones y 23% dolor
abdominal. Conclusiones: El abandono del tratamiento de la tuberculosis es
un obstáculo importante para controlar la incidencia, en el cual se ha
identificado como la principal causa la presentación de las complicaciones. The abandonment of tuberculosis treatment is one of the problems worldwide,
since this often generates high incidences of the disease and resistance to the
treatments used. Objective: To determine the abandonment of tuberculosis
treatment in patients aged 20 to 60 who attend the Guasmo Sur Health Center,
year 2021. Methodology: descriptive, quantitative, retrospective and crosssectional study. Population: 150 patients. Sample: 60 patients Technique:
Indirect observation. Instrument: Observation sheet. Results: According to
the demographic characteristics, 63% are men and 37% women, in ages of
52% between 20 to 30 years, marital status 45% free union, with occupation
of 50% independent work, which 82% come from from urban areas. Regarding
the abandonment phase, patients lose adherence or attachment during the
first phase 62%. The complications presented in the patient as a cause of
abandonment of treatment were selected liver alterations in 33%, followed by
27% without complications and 23% abdominal pain. Conclusions: The
abandonment of tuberculosis treatment is an important obstacle to control the
incidence, in which it has been identified as the main cause of the presentation
of complications.
