Resumen
El embarazo adolescente constituye un problema de salud pública muy
grande dentro de los países en vías de desarrollo por el costo que le generan
al sistema de salud sin contar las complicaciones maternas fetales que
pueden poner en riesgo la vida de la madre y del feto generando secuelas a
corto o largo plazo e incluso la muerte para ambos. Objetivo: Determinar la
frecuencia del embarazo de alto riesgo en adolescentes que acuden a la
emergencia del Hospital Universitario de la ciudad de Guayaquil año 2020.
Método: de investigación cuantitativo de nivel descriptivo y naturaleza
transversal usando como herramienta una matriz de observación indirecta
para el análisis de historias clínicas de 200 pacientes que acudieron al área
de emergencias del Hospital Universitario de Guayaquil Resultado: la mayor
cantidad de embarazos adolescentes se dan en jóvenes con rangos de 14 a
16 años de bajo nivel de escolarización y estrato social inferior siendo que en
mayoría de estos casos presentan complicaciones gestacionales como las
hemorragias vaginales y los trastornos hipertensivos Conclusiones: el
crecimiento del embarazo adolescente de las comunidades urbanas y rurales
representa un problema de salud que debe ser abordado por las autoridades
sanitarias del país de forma que se puedan establecer estrategias que
permitan disminuir mediante la prevención y conductas sexuales saludables

present gestational complications such as vaginal bleeding and hypertensive
disorders Conclusions: the growth of adolescent pregnancy in urban and rural
communities represents a health problem that must be addressed by the
country's health authorities so that strategies can be established that allow
decrease mediate prevention and healthy sexual behaviors in early pregnancy.
