Prevalencia de cáncer de tiroides en pacientes que acuden a SOLCA en la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Resumen
El cáncer de tiroides es una enfermedad con alto índice de mortalidad. Se realiza
un estudio sobre prevalencia de cáncer de tiroides. Objetivo: Determinar la
prevalencia de cáncer de tiroides. Diseño: cuantitativo, descriptivo,
retrospectivo, transversal. Técnica: Observación indirecta. Instrumento: Matriz
de observación indirecta. Resultados: Edad: 13,59% 20-30; 30.59% 31-41;
29.59% 42-52 años; 11.36% 53-63 años; 14,48% 64 años y más. Mujeres
70,82% y Hombres 29,18%. Etnia mestiza, 98,52%; 0,82% blancos; 0,59%
negros; 0,07% indígenas. Lugar de nacimiento: costa 87,01%; sierra 10,39%;
2,15% oriente; 0,45 región insular. Residen en: área urbana 75,35%; 7,35%
urbano-marginal; 11,95% rural; 5,35% extranjero. Nivel de instrucción: 22,05%
primaria; 32,67% secundaria; 30,51% universitaria; 14,77% no tienen.
Manifestaciones clínicas: 15,14% bulto en cuello; 2,75% hinchazón de cuello;
4,83% dolor de cuello; 5,42% ronquera; 3,12% problemas de deglución; 2,75%
dificultad para respirar; 4,60% tos constante; más de dos manifestaciones
61,40%. Métodos diagnósticos: 53,23% varios métodos; 8,09% ecografía; 9,06&
gammagrafía ósea; 6,98% estándar de tórax; 7,13% TAC; 5,79% TSH; 4,45%
PAAF; 2,90 biopsia de nódulo; 0,82% PET-CT; 0,22% MT. Tratamiento: cirugía
15,37%; yodo terapia 14,85%; 14,70% radioterapia externa; 8,61%
quimioterapia; 7,35% terapia hormonal; 4,90% no se realizan. Conclusión: el
cáncer de tiroides sigue incrementando el número de casos en la población. Thyroid cancer is a disease with a high mortality rate. A study on the prevalence

therapy 14.85%; 14.70% external radiotherapy; 8.61% chemotherapy; 7.35%
hormonal therapy; 4.90% are not carried out. Conclusion: thyroid cancer
continues to increase the number of cases in the population.
