Desde la firma de un Acuerdo de Primera Fase entre Ecuador |y Estados Unidos en diciembre del 2020, se espera el desarrollo de una nueva etapa de comercialización entre ambos países. Con esta etapa Ecuador espera dar paso a la firma de Tratado de Libre Comercio. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el impacto de la suscripción de un tratado de libre comercio entre los dos países para incrementar las exportaciones de las pymes del sector pesquero de la ciudad de Guayaquil hacía el mercado americano. Se ha planteado una hipótesis, para conocer si la existencia de un Tratado de libre comercio incrementaría las exportaciones de las pymes de dicho sector. Se seleccionaron los 5 productos pesqueros ecuatorianos más importados por Estados Unidos, tales como: pescado congelado, filete de pescado y otras carnes de pescado, pescado fresco o refrigerado, crustáceos, moluscos aptos para el consumo humano incluso ahumados, con o sin cáscaras, vivos, frescos, refrigerados. Como parte de la muestra seleccionada, se realizaron encuestas a los empresarios del sector, se utilizó el modelo estadístico ARMA, el cuál validó la hipótesis planteada a partir de las tendencias futuras de estas exportaciones.Since the signing of a First Phase Agreement between Ecuador and the United States in December 2020, the development of a new commercialization stage between both countries is expected. With this stage, Ecuador expects to give way to the signing of a Free Trade Agreement. The objective of this research is to analyze the impact of the signing of a free trade agreement between the two countries to increase exports of SMEs in the fishing sector of the city of Guayaquil to the American market. A hypothesis has been proposed to determine whether the existence of a free trade agreement would increase exports of SMEs in this sector. The five most imported Ecuadorian fishery products by the United States were selected, such as: frozen fish, fish fillet and other fish meat, fresh or refrigerated fish, crustaceans, mollusks fit for human consumption including smoked, with or without shells, live, fresh, refrigerated. As part of the selected sample, surveys were conducted with the sector's businessmen, and the ARMA statistical model was used to validate the hypothesis based on the future trends of these exports.
