Resumen
A nivel mundial se han originado diversos tipos de alojamiento en función a los
nuevos requerimientos que tienen ciertos nichos de mercado que buscan satisfacer sus
diferentes motivaciones, requerimientos y necesidades, por ello, es de vital importancia
conocerlos. Esta investigación analiza las motivaciones de visita que tienen los turistas
guayaquileños en base a los hospedajes de modalidad Glamping, buscando así aportar con
información literaria que sea de uso para futuros empresarios.
Se realizó una investigación de mercado tomando como objeto de estudio a 384
guayaquileños, siendo hombres y mujeres, para conocer si existen similitud o diferencia,
dependiendo del género. La encuesta estuvo dividida en tres secciones, la primera consistía
en obtener información sociodemográfica de los encuestados, tomando como punto de
partida que sean guayaquileños. La segunda sección consistía en conocer las motivaciones
de visita, en base a la teoría Push and Pull, creada por Crompton y actualizada en el articulo
llamado “Motivaciones de viaje de los millennials y actividades deseadas dentro de los
destinos: un estudio comparativo en EE. UU. y el Reino Unido”. Y en la última sección, se
exploró el perfil del turista, evaluando sus preferencias, características y servicios que
desearían que tuvieran los hospedajes de modalidad Glamping.
Los resultados obtenidos demostraron que existe un alto interés por parte de los
guayaquileños a visitar esta creciente modalidad de hoteles. Entre los principales hallazgos
en base a las motivaciones personales (Push) se observa: escapar de la rutina, relajación y
experimentar emociones. Mientras que las motivaciones de destino (Pull) fueron: realizar
actividades al aire libre, probar la gastronomía local y visitar lugares, excursionar. Además,
se realizaron descubrimientos importantes, sobre las gustos y preferencias de hospedajes tipo
Glamping, por parte de la muestra, creando un perfil para este nicho de mercado. Finalmente,
se propusieron tres destinos turísticos alineados con las preferencias y motivaciones de
consumo, definiendo cual de ellos es el más conveniente en base a la investigación,
realizando una matriz de localización, que muestre las ventajas y desventajas de dichos
destinos. Various types of accommodation have arisen worldwide based on the new
requirements of certain market niches that seek to satisfy their different motivations,
requirements and needs, therefore, it is vitally important to know them. This research
analyzes the motivations for visiting Guayaquil tourists based on Glamping
accommodations, thus seeking to provide literary information that is of use to future
entrepreneurs.
A market research was carried out taking as object of study 384 citizens of Guayaquil,
being men and women, to know if there are similarities or differences, according to gender.
The survey was divided into three sections, the first consisted of obtaining sociodemographic
information from the respondents, taking as a starting point that they are Guayaquil. The
second section consists of knowing the motivations for visiting, based on the Push and Pull
theory, created by Crompton and updated in the article called “Travel motivations of
millennials and desired activities within destinations: a comparative study in the USA. USA
and UK”. And in the last section, the profile of the tourist was explored, evaluating their
preferences, characteristics and services that they would like Glamping accommodation to
have.
The results obtained showed that there is a high interest on the part of Guayaquil
residents to visit this growing type of hotels. Among the main findings based on personal
motivations (Push) is observed: escape from routine, relaxation and experience emotions.
While the destination motivations (Pull) were doing outdoor activities, trying the local
gastronomy and visiting places, hiking. In addition, important discoveries were made about
the tastes and preferences of Glamping-type accommodation by the sample, creating a
profile for this market niche. Finally, three tourist destinations were proposed aligned with
consumer preferences and motivations, defining which of them is the most convenient based
on research, making a location matrix that shows the advantages and disadvantages of said
destinations.
