This research has the purpose to demonstrate the behaviour of reinforced mortar with abaca fiber previously treated with Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH3%) summited to different aging process: natural-laboratory condition, outdoor and accelerated process after applying 6 cycles of W/D method in order to compare the mechanical properties of a traditional mortar vs a reinforced abaca mortar applying bending, density for hardened and fresh mortar, retraction, air content and capilarity. In terms of density, there's an increase of 6.2%, in bending 11% more and compression 15.7%.
