The idea of exposing the relationship between cinema and philosophy, at the time
came to bother some classical philosophers, however, other philosophers and
filmmakers, have made more and more studies and theories that guarantee
this relationship. Cinema and philosophy are perhaps, two definitions that, in some
moment of history, it was not thought that they could relate, however,
with the evolution of science and the film industry, every time
it became more evident that there is a crossroads of thoughts between science
philosophical and the seventh art. Here are some of the most important references
influential in the philosophical and cinematographic field, among the most relevant
for this essay they are: Gilles Deleuze, Henry Bergson and Dominique Chateau.
This degree work proposes a new way of reading the cinema
Ecuadorian, as seen from the point of view of philosophy, rather than
from the artistic or commercial point of view, making an analysis of the elements
that owns the Ecuadorian cinema that provoke reflection.
