Resumen
La neumonía bacteriana es una de las infecciones respiratorias agudas con mayor tasa de morbi-mortalidad a nivel mundial. Un grupo vulnerable son los niños que se ven afectados por esta patología que ataca directamente las vías respiratorias. Objetivo: Establecer los factores asociados a la neumonía bacteriana en pacientes menores de 5 años en la hospitalización pediátrica del Hospital General Guasmo Sur. Metodología: Cuantitativo. Diseño: Población de 228 niños menores de 5 años con Diagnostico neumonía bacteriana, obtenidos de las historia clínicas revisadas del año 2018. Técnica: guía de Observación Indirecta. Análisis de datos: Tabulación de datos para obtener la presentación y análisis de los resultados. Resultados: En cuanto al rango por edades tenemos el 59% en niños de 0 a 1 año, en sexo tenemos más en género masculino con el 56%, etnia el 77% raza mestiza, Lugar de procedencia Urbano marginal 71%, Factores intrínsecos 59% alergias, esquema de vacunación 58% con esquema incompleto, Factores nutricionales 47% bajo peso al nacer, Factores ambientales 53% en cambio climático. Conclusión: se ha evidenciado que las actividades de promoción y prevención en salud deben ampliarse para educar a la población en riesgo sobre los factores que pueden influir en el desarrollo de la enfermedad. Methodology: Quantitative. Design: Population of 228 children under 5 years of age with Diagnosis of bacterial pneumonia, obtained from the revised clinical history of 2018. Technique: Indirect Observation guide. Data analysis: Tabulation of data to obtain the presentation and analysis of the results. Results: Regarding the range by ages we have 59% in children from 0 to 1 year, in sex we have more in masculine gender with 56%, ethnic group 77% mestizo race, Marginal Urban origin place 71%, Intrinsic factors 59 % allergies, vaccination scheme 58%
with incomplete scheme, nutritional factors 47% low birth weight, environmental factors 53% in climate change. Conclusion: it has been shown that health promotion and prevention activities must be expanded to
educate the population at risk about the factors that may influence the development of the disease.
