Resumen
En el campo de las telecomunicaciones, la robótica es la ciencia y tecnología que hace posible el desarrollo de máquinas dotadas con inteligencia artificial capaces de realizar múltiples acciones humanas que el hombre no puede lograr y de explorar lugares, donde el ser humano, aún no ha podido llegar.
La Facultad de Educación Técnica para el Desarrollo de la Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil incentiva a sus estudiantes en proyectos de investigación y desarrollo de móviles mediante la elaboración de prototipos de bajo costo, para su posterior participación en concursos locales o nacionales donde se ponen a prueba las capacidades intelectuales y habilidades de sus creadores.
El M.E. I&T 04, es un módulo de entrenamiento y desarrollo que nos permite realizar diversas tareas con el microcontrolador PIC 16F886. El M.E. I&T 04 fue diseñado con el fin de facilitar a los usuarios la elaboración de una tarjeta multifunción programable, integrada por varios elementos formando un todo, para la ejecución de aplicaciones mecánicas, eléctricas, electrónicas y computacionales.
En el presente trabajo de titulación, se construye un robot móvil autónomo Mega Sumo, utilizando el módulo M.E. I&T 04 con el objeto de mostrar el funcionamiento y el uso que se le puede dar al mismo.
