Identificación de microorganismos asociados al manchado y vaneamiento de la Panícula del arroz en zonas productoras de Guayas y Los Ríos.

Resumen
El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en la Estación Experimental del Litoral Sur “Dr. Enrique Ampuero Pareja” del Instituto Nacional de Investigación
Agropecuario (INIAP); el objetivo fue identificar hongos asociados al manchado y
estériles de la panícula del arroz y realizar pruebas de patogenicidad en condiciones de
inoculación artificial. Se colectaron 55 muestras en varias localidades de las provincias del Guayas y Los Ríos, mismas que estuvieron constituidas por 10 submuestras. Se registraron granos con y sin manchas, llenos y vanos. Para el aislamiento de hongos se utilizó 50 granos de cada finca y de cada categoría, éstos fueron desinfectados con hipoclorito de sodio al 1 %; la identificación se realizó con el uso de claves especializadas. Los hongos mas prevalentes fueron Bipolaris oryzae, Sarocladium oryzae, Curvularia,
Nigrospora, Fusarium y Alternaria; siendo B. oryzae la especie que estuvo presente en
todos los sitio de muestreo, ésta se inoculó en 14 genotipos de arroz, de ellos los
cultivares resistentes fueron Go-00623, Go- 38417, Go-39783, INIAP 10 e INIAP 17.
Para el aislamiento de bacterias los granos fueron igualmente desinfectados y triturados
en un mortero, se usó una solución EDTA al 5 %, el macerado fue colocado con una asa
bacteriana en el medio de cultivo agar nutritivo y luego repicado en medio King B; la identificación se realizó mediante la metodología de Schaad. Se obtuvieron 87 aislados, de ellos 70 fueron de reacción Gram Negativa y pectotinolíca.
