Resumen
Nuestro país es considerado uno de los países más ecológico y rico en tierras muy productivas en sembríos, sin embargo, debido a su ubicación geografía, se presentan problemas de proliferación de mosquitos especialmente, en la región Costa cuando se está en la etapa invernal del año, lo cual estos insectos (mosquitos) generan picaduras
que pueden llegar a ser mortales; en este caso son el dengue (MOSQUITO AEDES AEGYPTI) y el paludismo.
Al realizar un estudio de mercado nos dimos cuenta que existen varios productos anti-mosquitos llamados repelentes, estos productos utilizan el químico deet, es una fórmula que complementa la elaboración
de los repelentes. A pesar de que el fabricante, CEI Technology Inc. sugiere que se evite el contacto con el agua, no se ha comprobado aún los efectos que traería este acontecimiento, aunque, un estudio reciente
confirmó que este químico afecta al medio ambiente.
Estudios científicos han comprobado que el uso de plantas naturales como el eucalipto, el té de limón, etc. ayudan a ahuyentar los
mosquitos en lugares cerrados; sin embargo, una planta llamada Citronella, que según las investigaciones, se ha descubierto que su aroma causa un efecto desagradable sobre las terminaciones sensitivas de los insectos, así como un bloqueo de la percepción química que usan para orientarse.
A partir de esta planta citronella se ha elaborado una esencia que es colocada en un brazalete, logrando así un fácil uso para el consumidor sin riesgos de intoxicación, especialmente, en los niños.
