One of the main limitations for the successful completion of a project is the establishment of evaluation parameters that review only the quantitative variables, leaving aside the internal and external factors that may influence both the start of a new project and its expansion, replacement or improvement. In the case of small and medium-sized companies, it is necessary to consider both quantitative and qualitative variables in order to understand not only the financial aspect of the project, but also the technical and market aspects that allow us to present a panorama of less uncertainty and improve conditions in the execution of the project.Uno de los principales limitantes para la culminación exitosa de un proyecto es el establecimiento de parámetros de evaluación que revisen únicamente las variables cuantitativas, dejando de lado los factores internos y externos que puedan influir tanto en el inicio de un nuevo proyecto, como en su ampliación, remplazo o mejora. En el caso de las pequeñas y medianas empresas es necesario considerar tanto variables cuantitativas como cualitativas con el fin de entender no solo el aspecto financiero del proyecto, sino también los aspectos técnicos y de mercado que permitan presentar un panorama de menor incertidumbre y mejorar las condiciones en la ejecución del proyecto.
