| dc.description | Este artículo se desprende de una investigación más amplia que tiene como principal objetivo identificar y analizar las lógicas curatoriales en espacios de Internet destinados a la exhibición artística. Específicamente, se aborda el caso del perfil de Twitter de OpenGlam, una red global que promueve el acceso abierto a lo cultural-artístico. Entre 2018 y 2021 la cuenta funcionó como un espacio de curaduría rotativa, ya que fue gestionada por distintas personas vinculadas a proyectos de digitalización de materiales que forman parte del acervo patrimonial de diferentes países. Para llevar adelante el análisis se recuperaron tuits de ese período y artículos publicados en el blog de la iniciativa; además se realizaron entrevistas a personas que participaron de la experiencia. Entre los principales hallazgos se puede mencionar la perspectiva decolonial de la propuesta, ya que buscó visibilizar acervos de regiones no consideradas centrales. También, la relación entre la arquitectura de la plataforma y los modos de presentar los materiales, las maneras que encontraron de hackear las estructuras de Twitter para construir una red de colaboración y los usos lúdicos que hicieron de algunos recursos visuales, como memes y gifs. El análisis de esta experiencia evidencia la tensión entre las lógicas de diseño de las plataformas digitales y los intentos de usarlas de modos alternativos. | es-ES |
| dc.description | This article is part of a broader research whose main objective is to identify and analyze the curatorial logics in Internet spaces for artistic exhibition. Specifically, it addresses the case of the Twitter profile of OpenGlam, a global network that promotes open access to the cultural-artistic. Between 2018 and 2021 the account functioned as a rotating curatorial space as it was managed by different people linked to digitization projects of materials that are part of the heritage collection of different countries. In order to carry out the analysis, tweets from that period and articles published in the initiative's blog were retrieved; in addition, interviews were conducted with people who participated in the experience. Among the main findings we can mention the decolonial perspective of the proposal, since it sought to make visible collections from regions not considered central. Also, the relationship between the architecture of the platform and the ways of presenting the materials, the ways they found to hack the structures of Twitter to build a collaborative network and the ludic uses they made of some visual resources, such as memes and gifs. The analysis of this experience evidences the tension between the design logics of concentrated digital platforms and the attempts to use them in alternative ways. | en-US |
