Resumen
This degree project proposes the creation of a second-degree association dedicated to the
breeding and commercialization of guinea pigs in the sub-basins of the Vivar and San Francisco
rivers in the cantons of Pucará and Santa Isabel in the province of Azuay to enhance the
productive capacity and organizational sustainability with the generation of employment, through
the approach of corporate philosophy, development in a participatory manner of a statute that will
govern the second-degree organization, followed by the proposal of a CANVAS business model
that is sustainable over time and that potentiates the value proposition of the second-degree
association and, finally, the evaluation of the economic, environmental and social viability of
guinea pig production. For this purpose, a data collection study was carried out, secondary from
restaurants and primarily from consumers in local markets and guinea pig producers, to determine
supply and demand. A Technical-Administrative analysis was made, in which information about
the guinea pig, its breeding, production, and commercialization are shown. Subsequently, a
Legal-Financial study was conducted to detail the requirements and costs that will attract the
project and determine its profitability. Finally, as a result of the study, it was demonstrated that the
second-degree association is feasible to be created since it not only seeks an economic benefit
for the members of the guinea pig producer associations but also promotes community
associations to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of the cantons of Santa Isabel and
Pucará.
