Características del inicio de relaciones sexuales en adolescentes escolarizados de seis colegios del cantón Cuenca, 2011

Abstract

Objective: To identify the characteristics of teenagers′ sexual and reproductive behavior Methods: CERCA Project designed a survey for 3303 adolescents, age range 12-18 years old, in 6 rural and urban high schools in Cuenca city. Results: 16,53% (546) teen participants had experienced sexual intercourse; males: 18,37% females: 12,22%. The average age of first intercourse in adolescents is 15 (14,53 in males and 15,01 in females). 4,21% of males and 0,85% females experienced first sexual intercourse at 10 years old
