        Resumen
The objective of this project is to develop a schematic proposal for urban-architectural repowering with emphasis on the connection between the mangrove swamp and the enclosure, which generates benefits for the residents of the place, who are mostly dedicated to collecting crabs. The focus of the study is to project the pertinent solution or solutions to the stated need, taking as a guideline the objectives of sustainable development, and considering the social and economic aspects of the sector to be served. Consequently, each facility will become a representative proposal that will providing greater operating capacity to the inhabitants of the enclosure, will constribute new activities that will boost the local economy and will provide better planning tools to manage their community tourism activity. For its elaboration, different phases were carried out, such as the development of the theoretical framework, analysis of referents, information gathering, identification of the specific problem, development of the diagnosis of the action site and the elaboration of the intervention proposal. In summary, this research work is a social, economic, environmental and construction technology contribution that contributes to promoting the economic, social and tourist development of the 6 de Julio Enclosure. It is worth mentioning that this study is derived from the project “Fishing-tourist pier for the 6 de Julio Enclosure” developed by the Virtual Tech research team of the University of Cuenca.
