Test Timed Up and Go (TUG) was designed as a transmission tool, which is that the subject must rise from a chair with armrests, walk three meters, turn on itself, back three meters and sit back down, meanwhile the examiner timed the time required to perform the test. Considering the score of this test as follows: Normal: <10 sec.; slight risk of fall: 10 to 20 sec.; and high risk of falling: > 20 sec. The test primarily used to determine the risk of falling that can strike the elderly, in addition to detect balance problems that may present this population. Data collection was carried out individually, through the development of a medical history and application of Timed Up and Go Test.El Test Timed Up and Go (TUG) fue diseñado como una herramienta de cribado, la cual consiste en que el sujeto debe levantarse de una silla con reposabrazos, caminar tres metros, girar sobre si mismo, retroceder los tres metros y volver a sentarse, mientras tanto el examinador cronometra el tiempo que precisa para realizar la prueba. Considerando la puntuación de este test de la siguiente manera: normal: < a 10 seg., riesgo leve de caída: 10 a 20 seg., y alto riesgo de caída: > 20 seg. El test principalmente sirve para determinar el riesgo de caída que pueden sufrir los adultos mayores, además de detectar problemas de equilibrio que puede presentar dicha población.
