At present, the preparation of the jurist is of great importance for the role it plays in society, however it has been observed that there is an insufficient axiological formation in relation to the exercise of legal practice that limits its professional and professional relevance, proving necessary Give solution to it. The studies were carried out at the Autonomous Regional University of the Andes (UNIANDES) and in the Judicial Units of Canton Quevedo, based on a diagnosis with students and professionals of the legal profession during the year 2015. The diagnosis determined an inadequate axiological formation of the lawyer for the solution of professional problems. The objective of the work is to design a strategy for the axiological formation of the jurist in the University of the XXI century. The materials and research methods used were: theoretical, analysis-synthesis, inductive- deductive, historical-logical and systemic-structural. The techniques used from the empirical level (surveys, interviews and socialization workshop.) Among the most significant results is the contribution to the improvement of the axiological formation of the jurist with the proposed strategy, from a process of self-preparation in one's own legal performance.En la actualidad la preparación del jurista, reviste gran importancia por la función que ejerce en la sociedad, sin embargo se ha podido observar como problema de investigación que existe una insuficiente formación axiológica en relación con el ejercicio de la práctica jurídica que limita su pertinencia socio profesional, resultando necesario darle solución a la misma. Los estudios fueron realizados en la Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes (UNIANDES) y en las Unidades Judiciales del Cantón Quevedo, a partir de un diagnóstico con estudiantes y profesionales de la carrera de Derecho durante el año 2015. El diagnóstico determinó una inadecuada formación axiológica del jurista para la solución de problemas profesionales. El objetivo del trabajo se centra en diseñar una estrategia para la formación axiológica del jurista en la Universidad humana y cultural.
