| dc.description | La presente investigación tiene como objetivo el análisis del control interno de inventarios para optimizar los procedimientos en el área de bodega de la empresa Depósito de la Construcción localizada en la ciudad de Manta; pues se evidenció que las actividades dentro del área eran deficientes lo que ocasionaba que la empresa no mantuviera un correcto control de mercaderías y el personal llevara a cabo sus funciones de manera empírica. El enfoque de la investigación fue cualitativo, el método descriptivo, basados en información obtenida a través del estudio de campo y la recolección de datos acerca de la problemática de la entidad; las técnicas de estudio utilizadas fueron la entrevista y la guía de observación, las cuales se dirigieron a los actores principales de la investigación el gerente, el bodeguero y la cajera de la empresa; cuyos resultados permitieron que a través de la interpretación y el análisis se determinaran aspectos esenciales para el planteamiento de una solución. El propósito de la investigación se apoya en el diseño de un manual de políticas y procedimientos para el control del inventario en el área de bodega de la empresa, describiendo las políticas y funciones del personal que interviene y los procedimientos de bodega a través de la representación de diagramas de flujo. Con el fin de minimizar las falencias encontradas y optimizar el tratamiento de los inventarios en este departamento. Palabras clave: Control interno, inventarios, procesos, bodega.
