Jaramijó is a city located in the province of Manabí whose cantonization dates back to 1998, its main economic activities are fishing and tourism, it has several natural and built recreational spaces that are not being used. Thus, its contribution to the urban green index is very low, taking these points into account, it is possible to visualize the existing problems in the public areas of the canton, which demonstrates the need to create a circuit of parks with the population as main beneficiaries, generating a contribution to the environment and creating functional interactive spaces. In this sense, this review takes into account theories, national and international urban references, as well as field research that are used as a starting point to generate an assessment of the deficit of spaces for cultural and recreational dissemination to diagnose the current state of the public spaces of the Jaramijó canton from an urban approach and the impact that this generates to the good life of its inhabitants. Keywords: Public spaces, Tourism, Urbanism.Jaramijó es una ciudad ubicada en la provincia de Manabí cuya cantonización data desde el año 1998, sus principales actividades económicas son la pesca y el turismo, cuenta con varios espacios recreativos naturales y construidos los mismos que no están siendo usados. Así su contribución con el índice verde urbano es muy baja, tomando en cuenta estos puntos se logra visualizar la problemática existente en las áreas públicas del cantón lo que demuestra la necesidad de crear un circuito de parques teniendo como beneficiarios principales a la población, generando un aporte al ambiente y creando espacios interactivos funcionales. En ese sentido, esta revisión toma en cuenta teorías, referentes urbanos nacionales e internacionales, así como también investigación de campo que son usadas como punto de partida para generar una valoración de déficit de espacios de difusión cultural y recreativa para diagnosticar el estado actual de los espacios públicos del cantón Jaramijó desde un enfoque urbano y el impacto que esto genera al buen vivir de sus habitantes.
