dc.description | Las aulas de la Facultad de Arquitectura de la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí (ULEAM) fueron el objeto de estudio en esta investigación, donde se analizaron las condiciones acústicas en que se encuentran actualmente; en general, las aulas poseen un entorno acústico deficiente que genera fatiga y cansancio en los involucrados del proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje, estas condiciones en las que se encuentra son generadas por la errónea elección de materiales como acabados dentro de las aulas además de factores como la geometría de la misma. A través de la observación directa y la experimentación se pudo determinar los tiempos de reverberación que se presentaban en cada una de las aulas estudiadas, además de cuestionar a los involucrados por medio de entrevistas para conocer la percepción que se tiene de primera mano. La experimentación arrojó que la geometría regular que se tiene en las aulas no es la más indicada puesto que las ondas sonoras tienden a rebotar en las paredes de superficies duras interviniendo en la comunicación, es decir, aumenta los tiempos de reverberación, esto también se da por la superficie de los materiales con los que cuenta el interior, disminuyendo así la calidad acústica de las aulas. Se analizaron referentes que investigaron métodos de mejoramiento para los espacios, tratando los materiales de acabados y otros analizando la forma óptima para transmitir el mensaje del emisor. ABSTRACT The classrooms of the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí (ULEAM) were the object of study in this research, where the acoustic conditions in which they are currently found were analyzed; In general, classrooms have a poor acoustic environment that generates fatigue and tiredness in those involved in the teaching-learning process, these conditions in which it is found are generated by the wrong choice of materials as finishes within the classrooms in addition to factors such as geometry of it. Through direct observation and experimentation, it was possible to determine the reverberation times that occurred in each of the classrooms studied, in addition to questioning those involved through interviews to know the perception that is had first hand. The experimentation showed that the regular geometry found in classrooms is not the most suitable since sound waves tend to bounce off the walls of hard surfaces, intervening in communication, that is, it increases reverberation times, this also occurs by the surface of the materials that the interior has, thus reducing the acoustic quality of the classrooms. References that investigated improvement methods for the spaces were analyzed, treating the finished materials and others, analyzing the optimal way to transmit the message of the issuer.
