WIRELESS NETWORK OF SENSORS FOR MONITORING AND CONTROL OF CITRULLUS LANATUS (WATERMELON) CROPS

dc.description | This project aims to improve agricultural processes within the sector through the union of electronic and computer systems. An environmental measurement prototype was created from Precision Agriculture, which is characterized by having the Wireless Sensor Networks technology that, based on the IEEE 802.11 standard, allowed the creation of the wireless sensor network. The network is made up of several ESP32 modules, which are configured in such a way that one acts as a coordinating node and the other nodes as routers, which in turn have specific sensors strategically located to measure the abiotic environmental factors that influence crops. such as soil moisture, temperature and humidity of the environment. These nodes, in addition to sensors, are connected to a solenoid valve, which allows the water supplied to the crop to be controlled through the application. For the storage of information, a database was created which is linked to the application where the values provided by the sensors can be viewed. The EDER methodology was used for the development of the prototype, which is applied in technological infrastructure projects, and allowed the progress of its creation. dc.description | Este proyecto tiene como objetivo mejorar los procesos agrícolas dentro del sector mediante la unión de sistemas electrónicos e informáticos. Se creó un prototipo de medición ambiental a partir de la Agricultura de Precisión, el cual se caracteriza por poseer la tecnología Wireless Sensor Networks que a partir del estándar IEEE 802.11 permitió armar la red inalámbrica de sensores. La red está conformada por varios módulos ESP32, los cuales están configurados de tal manera que uno actúe como nodo coordinador y los demás nodos como routers, que a su vez cuentan con sensores específicos ubicados estratégicamente para medir los factores ambientales abióticos que influyen en los cultivos tales como humedad de suelo, temperatura y humedad del ambiente. Estos nodos, además de sensores, tienen conexión a una electroválvula, la misma que permite controlar mediante el aplicativo el agua suministrada al cultivo. Para el almacenamiento de información se creó una base de datos la cual esta enlazada al aplicativo en donde se pueden visualizar los valores proporcionados por los sensores. Se utilizó la metodología EDER para el desarrollo del prototipo, la cual es aplicada en proyectos de infraestructura tecnológica, y permitió el progreso de creación del mismo.
