La usabilidad comúnmente es evaluada cuando el producto está terminado y es utilizado por los usuarios, situación que provee información vital para los desarrolladores, pudiendo con esto mejorar sus productos en versiones futuras. Se empleó el método analítico-sintético. Se trata de una investigación bibliográfica y exploratoria. Para la población se tomó en cuenta 4 docentes especializados en el ámbito del desarrollo de software y a 8 estudiantes del noveno semestre de la carrera de ingeniería en sistemas de la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí extensión en El Carmen. La ingeniería de usabilidad es una disciplina que está ganando campo en el desarrollo de software a nivel mundial, y hoy por hoy se está incluyendo dentro de la etapa de análisis de requerimientos, debido a la ventaja que provee al usarla desde dicha etapa para asegurar productos de calidad desde la concepción de este.
