PROPOSAL FOR THE CREATION OF THE CENTER OF APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVENTION IN STUDENTS OF ULEAM

dc.descriptionThe present investigation sought to establish the need to create a Psychological Care Center for Uleam students, for which the analysis of the importance of the creation of an Applied Psychology Center, the Identification of psychological needs and Preparation of a proposal for the creation of the Center for Applied Psychology. The methodology used was based on the quantitative method using the survey technique to determine the degree of acceptance and the qualitative method developed through semi-structured interviews with an approach to experts and mental health stakeholders within the research process, as well as records of observation and focus groups. The type of research was exploratory, descriptive and correlational, whose data obtained were grouped into absolute frequency tables and percentage graphs. The research was aimed at the population that corresponds to nineteen thousand five hundred students with a random sample of three hundred and seventy-seven and ten mental health professionals. The results showed that there are people with different mental health problems such as anxiety, stress, depression, bipolarity, eating disorders and addictions. Who have not yet received psychological intervention due to lack of access to such care for various limiting reasons, the creation of the Center for Applied Psychology would be the solution since it would provide promotion, prevention and treatment in mental health. dc.descriptionLa presente investigación busco establecer la necesidad de crear un Centro de atención Psicológica para estudiantes de la Uleam para lo cual se plantearon como objetivos el análisis de la importancia que tiene la creación de un Centro de Psicología Aplicada, la Identificación de las necesidades psicológicas y la elaboración de una propuesta para la creación del Centro de Psicológica Aplicada. La metodología utilizada se basó en el método cuantitativo mediante la técnica de encuesta para determinar el grado de aceptación y el método cualitativo desarrollado mediante entrevistas semi-estructurada con un enfoque a expertos e involucrados de la salud mental dentro del proceso de investigación, así como fichas de observación y grupos focales. El tipo de investigación fue de tipo exploratorio, descriptivo y correlacional, cuyos datos obtenidos se agruparon en tablas de frecuencia absoluta y graficas porcentuales. La investigación fue dirigida a la población que corresponde a diecinueve mil quinientos alumnos con una muestra tomada al azar de trescientos setenta y siete y a diez profesionales en salud mental. Los resultados demostraron que existen personas con diferentes problemas de salud mental como ansiedad, estrés, depresión, bipolaridad, trastornos alimenticios y adicciones, que aún no han recibido intervención psicológica por falta de acceso a dicha atención por diversas razones limitantes, la creación del Centro de Psicología Aplicada sería la solución ya que brindaría promoción, prevención y tratamiento en salud mental.
