| dc.description | El objetivo de la presente investigación es conocer los componentes sociales y demográficos, así como las condiciones reales y actuales de la comunidad del contexto social y cultural del cuidador de personas con capacidades especiales. Se trata de un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, no experimental, transversal, realizado con una muestra de 23 familias de la comunidad Ceibos Renacer, etapa I de la ciudad de Manta en el año 2018. La hipótesis sugiere que la falta de capacitación genera riesgos que asumen los cuidadores de personas con discapacidad, en función del contexto sociocultural, afectando no solo su calidad de vida, sino la eficiencia de la atención a las personas con capacidades diferentes. Se empleó el Cuestionario de caracterización del cuidador y la escala de sobrecarga del cuidador de Zarit para evaluar una única dimensión de la carga, centrándose en la carga subjetiva, y establecer puntos de corte para diferenciar entre ausencia de carga y sobrecarga leve y entre sobrecarga leve y sobrecarga intensa y el Test de funcionamiento familiar, utilizado para evaluar la dinámica e interacción familiar. Abstract The objective of the present investigation is to know the social and demographic components, as well as the real and current conditions of the community of the social and cultural context of the caretaker of people with special abilities. This is a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional study, conducted with a sample of 23 families from the Ceibos Renacer community, stage I of the city of Manta in 2018. The hypothesis suggests that the lack of training generates risks that caregivers of people with disabilities assume, depending on the sociocultural context, affecting not only their quality of life, but the efficiency of care for people with different abilities. The caregiver characterization questionnaire and the Zarit caregiver overload scale were used to assess a single dimension of the load, focusing on the subjective load, and establish cut-off points to differentiate between absence of load and slight overload and between light overload and intense overload and the Family Functioning Test, used to evaluate family dynamics and interaction.
