THE LIBRARIANSHIP PROFESSIONAL: A PEDAGOGICAL PROFILE IN THE PROMOTION OF READING

Resumen
The role of the librarian arises every day with the advance of the new requirements of society, where his profile must be composed of fundamentals of the pedagogical area, since by means of this professional skill he can contribute to the full reading development of society. The aim of the present research is to understand what skills a professional librarian should have in order to be able to carry out the promotion of reading in an operative way. In order to carry out this step, a qualitative, descriptive and hermeneutic phenological methodology is applied under the criteria of scientific rigor. This analysis is perceived through the discernments of the professionals who belong to this area and who, by means of authorization, could be interviewed. The main findings indicate that the formulation of a curriculum with the promotion approach is the first element that should be part of the professional graduate profile, and that it should integrate subjects such as pedagogy, design and strategic planning with approaches to reading plans, and that it should be based as part of the pre-professional practices. It is necessary that the current library science professional conceives the development of reading as part of the transversal and social approaches, and that it should be taken as a curricular objective in schools, colleges and universities.

El rol del bibliotecólogo surge cada día con el avance de los nuevos requerimientos de la sociedad, en donde su perfil debe estar compuesto por fundamentos del área pedagógica, ya que mediante esta destreza profesional puede contribuir al desarrollo lector en pleno de la sociedad. El objetivo de la presente investigación es comprender que destrezas debe tener un profesional en bibliotecología para poder realizar de manera operativa la promoción de la lectura. Para realizar este paso se aplica una metodología, cualitativa, descriptiva y con enfoque fenológico hermenéutico bajo los criterios del rigor científico. Este análisis se percibe mediante los discernimientos de los profesionales que pertenecen a esta área y que mediante la autorización pudieron ser entrevistados. Los principales hallazgos señalan que la formulación de una malla curricular con el enfoque de promoción es el primer elemento que debe ser parte del perfil profesional de egreso, además que se debe integrar cátedras como es la pedagogía, diseño y planificación estratégica con enfoques en los planes de lectura, y que debe estar basado como parte de las practicas pre-profesionales. Es necesario que el actual profesional de las ciencias bibliotecológicas conciba el desarrollo de la lectura como parte de los enfoques transversales y sociales, y que además se debe tomar como un objetivo curricular en las escuelas, colegios y universidades.
