| dc.description | El presente trabajo investigativo pretende determinar la principal causa que incidió para que las personas privadas de libertad no accedan al beneficio del régimen semiabierto durante los años 2018-2019 en uno de los centros de privación de libertad para personas adultas en conflicto con la ley del Ecuador. Se trabajó con una muestra de 1106 personas que ya cumplieron el 60% de su condena. Metodológicamente, a través del diagrama de Pareto se visualizaron las prioridades para acogerse al beneficio donde los efectos de determinada variable son consecuencia de las causas de un problema con un margen de significación entre: la débil red de apoyo familiar y discriminación social. Por tanto, se concluyó que la principal causa para que estas personas no accedan al régimen semi abierto es la débil red de apoyo familiar.
