| dc.description | Debido a que el big data es un área de trabajo relativamente nueva en la administración empresarial, es necesario conocer el estado actual del arte, es por esta razón que el objetivo del presente artículo es analizar algunas variantes que permitirán obtener información referente a esta temática, tales como autores, años de investigación, tipos de revistas e instituciones; para poder determinar la importancia que tiene el big data en la actualidad. Para este trabajo, se procedió a recolectar todos los artículos publicados en la Web of Science y luego de una limpieza de datos fueron analizados por medio del software VosViewer. Los resultados demuestran la importancia y la relevancia de estas investigaciones en las diferentes variables analizadas. Se puede concluir que si bien es cierto hay una buena base de investigaciones a nivel de mundial, en Latinoamérica se denota escasa investigación publicada en la base de datos de Web of Science con respecto a la administración de empresas.Palabras clave: Big data; Administración de empresas; bibliometría; motores de búsqueda.
