Resumen
El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar las consecuencias de la violencia intrafamiliar que genera el Covid-19 en la provincia de Manabí, Ecuador. De acuerdo a los datos obtenidos del Servicio Integrado de Seguridad ECU-911, Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Censos y el Ministerio de Salud Pública, organismos gubernamentales que disponen de la información, se pudo obtener datos de llamadas por violencia intrafamiliar, casos de infectados y fallecidos por Covid-19 en la provincia de Manabí. Se encontró que el 9,6% de hogares viven en hacinamiento, el 23% vive en extrema pobreza y el 31,4% es pobre. También se estableció que el 21,5% de mujeres han vivido algún tipo de violencia de género en las familias de la provincia de Manabí, lo que corrobora que la violencia intrafamiliar está estrechamente relacionada a las condiciones de vida de las personas, así como el acceso a los servicios básicos que proporcionan los gobiernos autónomos descentralizados y el Estado ecuatoriano a la población.Palabras clave: Covid-19; pandemia; violencia intrafamiliar; Manabí; Ecuador.
ABSTRACT
The objective of this paper is to analyze the consequences of interfamily violence generated by Covid-19 in the province of Manabí. According to data obtained from the Integrated Security Service ECU-911, the National Institute of Statistics and Census and the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), government pages that have the information, allowed obtaining data on calls for intra-family violence, infected cases, deceased by Covid-19 in the province of Manabí. It was found that 9.6% of households live in overcrowding, 23% are extremely poor and 31.4% are poor; and 21.5% of women have experienced some type of gender violence than families in the province of Manabí. This corroborates that intrafamily violence is closely related to the living conditions of individuals and households, access to basic services that decentralized autonomous governments and the Ecuadorian State provide to the population.Keywords: Covid-19; pandemic; interfamily violence; Manabí; Ecuador.
