La violencia intrafamiliar ha existido desde la antigüedad, sin embargo, en tiempos anteriores no se defendían los derechos a las mujeres o niños, por su parte el impulso viene dado de acuerdo a Sigmund Freud como dos tendencias, una de ellas dirigida a la agresión y a la destrucción. Esta va vinculada como factor a la violencia intrafamiliar, de modo que el presente artículo se estructura como una revisión de la literatura científica de los últimos 20 años, con la finalidad de conocer la influencia de la falta de control de los impulsos como factor asociado a la violencia intrafamiliar. Se realizó una búsqueda sistemática de literatura relacionada al objetivo planteado, con información de documentos a partir del año 2000 hasta el año 2020, en idioma español. Se logró identificar que la violencia se relaciona con 3 factores, entre ellos la falta de control de los impulsos, donde el ser víctima o presenciar la violencia en edades tempranas, es un determinante para ejercer violencia en edad adulta y tener pobre control de los impulsos.Palabras clave: Control de impulsos; violencia intrafamiliar; afectación; agresor; Víctima. The question is associated as a factor to intra-family violence, this article through a review of the scientific literature of the last 20 years seeks to know the influence of the lack of impulse control as a factor associated with intra-family violence, through a systematic search of literature related to the proposed objective, with information from documents from 2000 to 2020, in Spanish.
