| dc.description | This paper seeks to present a theoretical reflection on agricultural development in rural areas. The economic, social and cultural processes of our days have been strongly influenced and impacted by globalization. The current agricultural scenario, with an increasingly globalized environment and in which producer aid has been constantly reduced in recent years, marks new challenges for the agricultural sector. The rural world has perhaps been one of the scenarios in which such processes are exacerbated; there, the inequalities and the limitations that their human groups must face when it comes to assuming the challenges of the new world orders, and even more so in the agrarian aspect due to the increase in population, become very evident. Talking about the current conditions of rural development necessarily implies approaching the problems of rural populations, which, in general, are the most vulnerable communities, represented by peasants, women, indigenous people and Afro-descendants. | dc.description | El presente trabajo busca exponer una reflexión teórica sobre el desarrollo agrario en las zonas rurales. Los procesos de orden económico, social y cultural de nuestros días han estado fuertemente influenciados e impactados por la globalización. El actual escenario de la agricultura, con un entorno cada vez más globalizado y en el que las ayudas al productor vienen reduciéndose de forma constante en los últimos años, marca nuevos desafíos para el sector agrario. El mundo rural ha sido tal vez uno de los escenarios en el que se ven agudizados tales procesos; allí se hacen muy evidentes las desigualdades y las limitaciones que sus grupos humanos deben enfrentar a la hora de asumir los retos de los nuevos órdenes mundiales, y más aún en el aspecto agrario a causa del aumento de la población. Hablar de las condiciones actuales del desarrollo rural necesariamente implica acercarse a las problemáticas de las poblaciones rurales, que, por lo general, son las comunidades más vulnerables, representadas por los campesinos, las mujeres, los indígenas y los afrodescendientes.
