dc.descriptionThis is a manifesto that arose from listening to elderly women who participated in the transdisciplinary project ARCHIVO VIVO, which took place in a semi-abandoned library, the Public Library of the State of Jalisco, located in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco in Mexico. In the period of modernity, women already had access to a Library; however they did not have access to the main reading room. Thus, they had to place themselves on the margin, on the periphery, in invisibility, in oblivion, in the house, with the children, in ignorance. So we asked ourselves, why? And there began the long challenge of unearthing the forgotten memory.en-US
dc.descriptionEste es un manifiesto que surge de la escucha de mujeres de la tercera edad que participaron del proyecto transdisciplinar ARCHIVO VIVO, el cual tuvo como escenario  una biblioteca semi abandonada; la Biblioteca Pública del Estado de Jalisco, ubicada en la ciudad de Guadalajara, Jalisco en México. En el período de la modernidad las mujeres ya podían tener acceso a una Biblioteca, sin embargo no tenían acceso a la sala de lectura principal, ellas debían  ubicarse al margen, en la periferia, en la invisibilidad, en el olvido, en la casa, con los hijos, en la ignorancia. Entonces, nos preguntamos, ¿por qué?  Y ahí comenzó el largo desafío de desenterrar la memoria olvidada. es-ES
