I make objects for as long as I can remember, I remember some that I played with: wooden carts pulled by rope, rockets with matches and aluminum, off-road tanks with a wooden reel, a garter, a nail and a stick, a cart with jars of cookies and recycled motors, furniture with metal soda lids and multiple models built with Lego that accompanied my childhood. They were all born as unique objects from a process of trial and error and according to the resources that they had or could recycle. I got to know the scenery in 1992, as an Industrial Design student, when I had the opportunity to work for a theatrical event. From that moment I became involved with the design of objects for the performing arts. I arrived in Quito in 1994, and I started my work in scenography, museography, exhibition montages, collaboration with artistic projects and university teaching in Product Design. In this essay, to reflect on the scenery and scenic objects, from my practice, I have returned to my blogs with the idea of "‹"‹reviving my memories and experiences. Hago objetos desde que tengo memoria, recuerdo algunos con los que jugaba: los carritos de madera tirados por cuerda, los cohetes con foÌ sforos y aluminio, tanques todoterreno con un carrete de madera, una liga, un clavo y un palito, un carro con tarros de galletas y motores reciclados, muebles con tapas metaÌ licas de gaseosas y muÌ ltiples modelos construidos con Lego que acompañaron mi infancia. Todos naciÌ an como objetos uÌ nicos a partir de un proceso de prueba y error y de acuerdo con los recursos que teniÌ a o podiÌ a reciclar. ConociÌ la escenografiÌ a en 1992, siendo estudiante de Diseño Industrial, cuando tuve la oportunidad de trabajar para un evento teatral. A partir de ese momento me involucreÌ con el diseño de objetos para las artes esceÌ nicas. LlegueÌ a Quito, en 1994, e inicieÌ mi trabajo en escenografiÌ a, museografiÌ a, montajes de exposiciones, colaboracioÌ n con proyectos artiÌ sticos y la docencia universitaria en Diseño de Productos. En este ensayo, para reflexionar sobre la escenografiÌ a y los objetos esceÌ nicos, a partir de mi praÌ ctica, he vuelto a mis bitaÌ coras con la idea de reavivar mis recuerdos y experiencias.
