dc.descriptionThis study investigates, on the one hand, the capacity of the tourism operators of San Cristóbal island of three tourist modalities: the daily dive tour, the bay tour and the fishing tour to self-regulate its activity. On the other hand, its contribution to the formation of a sustainable system from the application of the guiding principles that Ostrom points out are necessary to develop, in order to generate sustainable systems. To obtain information, a questionnaire was used for tourism operators, an interview for rangers and a qualitative interview directed to people with experience in the subject. The results of the investigation determine that although the operators of tourism of these three modalities do not have the competence to self-regulate, they contribute from their participation to the formation of a sustainable system.
dc.descriptionEn el estudio se investiga por un lado la capacidad que tienen los operadores de turismo del cantón San Cristóbal de tres modalidades turísticas: el tour diario de buceo, el tour de bahía y el tour de pesca vivencial para autorregular su actividad y por otro su contribución a la conformación de un sistema sostenible desde la aplicación de los principios orientadores que señala Ostrom son necesarios desarrollar para generar sistemas sostenibles. Para la obtención de información se utiliza un cuestionario dirigido a los operadores de turismo, una entrevista para guardaparques y una entrevista a profundidad de tipo cualitativa dirigida a personas con experiencia en el tema y los resultados de la investigación determinan que si bien los operadores de turismo de estas tres modalidades no tienen la competencia para autorregularse, ellos contribuyen desde su participación a la conformación de un sistema sostenible.
